Cristo Rey Network Awarded $2.1 Million from Deloitte Foundation for College Scholarships

On National College Decision Day, the Cristo Rey Network announced a $2.1 million grant from the Deloitte Foundation to support college scholarships for the Class of 2025—the fifth consecutive year of this transformative partnership. The grant will provide $55,000 to each of 37 Cristo Rey schools with graduating seniors, funding $2,000–$10,000 awards for students pursuing four-year degrees in business, engineering, or technology. These Deloitte Foundation Scholars are recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and financial need, with Cristo Rey Philadelphia’s recipients honored as John McConnell/Deloitte Foundation Scholars in tribute to the late school founder and Deloitte Principal. Over five years, Deloitte Foundation’s investment has surpassed $5.6 million, benefiting more than 800 Cristo Rey graduates. The initiative reflects both organizations’ shared mission to expand educational access and prepare students from under-resourced communities for college success and meaningful careers in the future of work.
